Job Summary:

MaineGeneral Health's Glenridge Rehabilitation and LTC Memory care facility is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our highly skilled and experienced rehab team.

This position is open to new graduates, with experienced SLPs having the potential to be considered for a lead role overseeing the entire therapy team.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities:
Perform the responsibilities of a Speech-Language Pathologist, maintaining a high standard of care.

Treatment Implementation:
Develop and implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities, tailored to individual patient needs.

Documentation:
Accurately document subjective, objective, assessment findings and plans, as well as patient progress, in a timely manner.

Complex Issue Management:
Handle and provide guidance on complex clinical issues, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Team Collaboration:
Work effectively within a team-oriented environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation.

Future Growth Opportunities for Experienced SLPs:

Leadership & Supervision:
Potential to lead the rehab team by demonstrating advanced knowledge of clinical responsibilities.

Policy Development:
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical policies and procedures to ensure best practices.

Mentorship:
Provide mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback to team members, facilitating professional growth and clinical excellence.

Role Modeling:
Serve as a positive role model, promoting a patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications:

Licensure:
Maine State Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required.

Certification:
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) required.

Basic Life Support:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification preferred.

Experience:
Open to new graduates; experienced SLPs are encouraged to apply and may be considered for a lead position.

Skills:
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
