About the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor - Logistics Operations will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution centers. This position will oversee the completion of preventative maintenance tasks, repair of material handling equipment and facilities, and provide guidance to maintenance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring resolution of operational inefficiencies through maintenance processes.
  • Supervise a team of technicians on facility maintenance, including facility clean-up, landscaping, plumbing, office repairs, lighting, fire suppression systems, automatic doors, racking, generators, compressors, basic HVAC inspections, and electrical repairs.
  • Oversee technicians on the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of Material Handling Equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks, Carts, Trikes, Yard Trucks, and a large variety of Conveyance.
  • Supervise technicians on the troubleshooting and repair of all automation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers, Control Panels, AC Motors, Variable Frequency Drives, Motor Starters, Encoders, Communications Systems, and all supporting hardware/software.
  • Support Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems.
  • Coordinate with vendors on all facets of maintenance, from routine building repairs to HVAC repairs and required fire suppression inspections in accordance with National Fire Protection Association Standards.
  • Effectively communicate with Technical Support Vendors to quickly troubleshoot and repair important production systems to reduce downtime.
  • Daily communication through start-ups, group briefings, or one-on-one interactions with technicians on safety updates, maintenance task assignments, or operational updates.
  • Mentor team members through coaching and feedback sessions while assisting in their ongoing development.
  • Update and review technician's updates utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Provide oversight of all shop tools, parts, maintenance carts, and ensure accountability, serviceability, and cleanliness while recommending improvements of all processes.
  • Ensure all technicians are following all OSHA standards, safety guidelines, and company policies, including but not limited to Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Protection, Safe Tool Usage, Hazardous Material Handling, Electrical Safety, and the wear of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Proficiently communicate with associates, peers, and management in real time using multiple communication platforms.
  • Monitor and enforce departmental, facility, and company policies and procedures.
  • Quality control work of technicians to ensure completion of tasks, required repairs, and preventative maintenance to manufacturer's specifications and safety standards.
  • Adapt to new working conditions and be able to work a flexible schedule, including increased peak season hours as needed.
  • Review and approve all team members' time entries in timekeeping and production management systems; making any corrections as needed within the designated time frames.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or Technical Certification in Logistics, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or equivalent years of work-related experience.
  • Previous knowledge of Electrical Systems, Conveyance, or Material Handling Maintenance technology preferred.
  • Comprehensive experience working with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Teams.
Benefits
  • Annual base salary range: $65,000 - $75,000/year.
  • This role is also eligible to receive short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance.
  • Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
