Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at Restaurant Depot. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our inventory levels and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of our inventory levels and identify any discrepancies.
  2. Product Location and Retrieval: Assist customers in locating and retrieving products from our warehouse, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  3. Inventory Research and Analysis: Research and analyze inventory discrepancies and discrepancies between physical counts and database counts, using proprietary computer systems to identify and resolve issues.
  4. Warehouse Operations: Perform various warehouse tasks, including moving product as needed to ensure accurate counts, and operating a scissor lift as required.
  5. Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service, assisting customers with product location and detailed information as needed.
Requirements
  1. Mathematical Skills: Excellent mathematical skills, including the ability to accurately count and calculate inventory levels.
  2. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills, including the ability to use proprietary computer systems.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  4. Flexibility: Flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical Requirements
  1. Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  2. Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours at a time, with regular breaks.
  3. Posture Tolerance: Ability to maintain good posture, including reaching above shoulder level, twisting and turning, bending and stooping, and kneeling and squatting.
Work Environment
  1. Temperature and Humidity: Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and humidity levels, including cool and cold environments.
  2. Industrial Equipment: Ability to work in an environment with industrial equipment, including forklifts and HiLo vehicles.
