Job Overview

The Press Operator Flexographic role at Schreiner Group LP is a critical position that requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a press, ensuring that all customer specifications are met and company standards are upheld.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspections and Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of printed material to ensure accuracy in color, registration, stock, and other customer specifications.
  • Press Maintenance: Adjust and maintain registration, color, perforations, and other customer-specific printing specifications.
  • Machine Operation: Operate the press to detect any machine or equipment malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press machine parts and equipment, including feeders, grippers, guides, feed wheels, cameras, and other machine parts.
  • Material Inspection: Conduct visual inspections of material stock and ink for defects or noncompliance with job specifications.
  • Job Completion: Ensure that all job-related data, including time and material, are accurately recorded in the ERP system.
  • Housekeeping: Ensure that all unused material is properly stored and that the work area is clean and organized.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Equivalent Degree (GED)
  • Experience: Previous experience in a press operation or related field is preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of cGMP, ISO, and Lean Manufacturing is a plus. Intermediate level of computer knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suites is required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
