Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the Center for Primary Care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in preparing, administering, and measuring radioactive isotopes for therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing various equipment and following prescribed state and NRC procedures.
  • Ensure proper administration of diagnostic and therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Implement and maintain radiation safety techniques when dosing patients and disposing of radioactive materials.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality control for camera and dose calibrator accuracy.
  • Provide images, data analysis, and patient information to physicians for diagnostic interpretation.
  • Accomplish computer processing and image enhancement.
  • Perform patient imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation.
  • Provide basic life support services when needed and secure and assist with advanced life support services, where indicated.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree and/or Bachelors Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • At least one (2) year experience operating imaging equipment, preparing radioactive drugs, and administration.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
  • Ability to type.
  • Ability to identify emergent medical situations.
  • Demonstrate positive customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment, multi-tasking.
Work Environment

Well-lit medical office environment.

Must be able to lift at least 10 lbs.
