About NY CREATES:
NY Creates serves as a premier research and development center, as well as a facilitator for the commercialization of advanced digital, analog, and power technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee HVAC and mechanical operations, ensuring the maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, exhaust, and mechanical systems that support cleanroom and office environments. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance and inventory management.
Monitor and respond to all facility alarms and control systems.
Possess a comprehensive understanding of associated disciplines such as process management, waste and water treatment, and building automation systems.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications for HVAC Technician:
Possession of EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification along with a technical trade degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant mechanical work experience.
OR
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Mechanical/HVAC within a facility operations or construction setting.
Candidates must be able to pass a physical examination and respirator fit test.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer maintenance management systems are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with the installation and management of integrated Building Management Systems (such as IFix, Siemens, Honeywell) and PLCs.
