Cytotechnology Specialist

Position Overview
Our client, a prominent healthcare facility, is seeking a skilled Cytotechnologist to enhance their diagnostic team.

Key Responsibilities
The Cytotechnologist will support pathologists in the evaluation of cytological specimens, ensuring accurate diagnostic assessments.

Essential Duties
1. Execute tasks as outlined in the competency matrix, adhering to the quality management system requirements.
2. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all laboratory equipment.
3. Engage in quality improvement initiatives as part of the laboratory's quality management framework.
4. Utilize relevant information systems effectively.
5. Assist in managing inventory and supplies.
6. Take responsibility for completing necessary continuing education credits each year.
7. Support the training and assessment of new staff and students as directed by the supervisor.
8. Contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of tests and procedures.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology.
- Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
- Relevant experience as specified in the training program.
