Job SummaryThe Senior Engineer I will play a critical role in providing project management, technical support, leadership, and oversight to various commercial, operational, regulatory, and project-driven activities across our Business Units. This includes gas and NGL pipelines, gas conditioning, compression and dehydration, fractionation, Carbon Dioxide (CCS) pipelines and facilities, metering, and construction.
Key Responsibilities- Project Scope Development and Basic Project Economic Evaluation: Develop project scopes and conduct basic economic evaluations to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Cost Estimation and AFE Generation: Estimate costs and generate Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents to facilitate project execution.
- Project Scheduling: Develop project schedules to ensure timely completion and meet business requirements.
- Engineering Effort Management: Manage engineering efforts using in-house and external resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Material and Equipment Sizing and Specification: Determine material and equipment requirements, and specify necessary components to ensure project success.
- Material and Equipment Procurement: Procure materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
- Construction Management: Manage construction activities, including bidding, contractor selection, and project controls.
- Project/Construction Management: Oversee project execution, ensuring cost and schedule controls are in place.
- Routine Report Generation: Generate regular reports to stakeholders on project progress and performance.
- Facility Design and Operation Review: Review facility designs and intended operations to ensure short- and long-term viability and reliability.
- Technical Solution Development: Develop suitable technical solutions to address product specification and transportation concerns.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering: A degree in one of these fields is required.
- Industry Experience: 6-8 years of experience in midstream or refinery or petrochemicals, with at least 5 years in project management.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in process/hydraulic simulation modeling, such as Promax, Synergi Gas, or Synergi Water, is a plus.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel up to % of the time to project locations.
