Data Analytics and Development Professional

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Advancement Data Specialist. As a key member of our Advancement team, you will be responsible for providing critical support to donors who have a direct impact on the student experience at the university as well as the employee community.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in a busy environment. You will be responsible for executing administrative, systematic, and research support for all areas of Advancement, including managing day-to-day gift entry of information into the Salesforce database, processing requests for information out of the database, and maintaining the overall integrity of the data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage donor gift and pledge entry procedure from initial data entry to final receipt, as well as process pledge reminders (50%).
- Collaborate closely with Financial Affairs for reconciliations and gift/pledge processes, as well as various regular reports and data cleanup and management (20%).
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to requesting parties within Advancement and within the broader campus community (10%).
- Monitor incoming giving inbox cases for timely follow up and responses (20%).
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in data entry and/or advancement functions; or equivalent combination of university education and work experience.
- Well-developed organizational, planning, prioritizing, and administrative skills, with the ability to self-motivate and drive results.
- The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and efficiency in workload management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with preferred experience with Salesforce.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with a wide range of people.
