Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Carolinas Fertility Institute, P.A. as a Women's Health Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in women's health, office procedures, and electronic medical records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Abstract patient charts and maintain accurate records
  • Clean and set up examination rooms between patients
  • Perform blood draws and take patient vitals
  • Room patients and provide exceptional customer service
  • Chaperone during procedures and assist providers as needed
  • Place instruments in the autoclave area and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Open charts and flow sheets in the electronic health record system
  • Enter lab orders and IUI notes into the EHR
  • Verify notes and images have been ported to the patient chart
  • Act as a medical scribe when required
  • Pack biopsies and samples for send-out and scan CMA paperwork
  • Assist with answering incoming calls and returning patient phone calls and emails
Requirements:
  • Completion of a CMA/RMA course and maintenance of certification as a medical assistant
  • 2 years of experience as a CMA, with 1 year of experience in women's health (OB/GYN)
  • BLS certification (preferred)
