Job Summary

Pacific Clinics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housing Specialist to join our Housing Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing housing support services to clients, including outreach and screening, application processing, and housing search and placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen referrals and applicants for Shelter Plus Care and Section 8 program eligibility requirements
  • Conduct housing searches and relocation services for program participants
  • Build and maintain a library of open and available apartment units for Section 8 consumers
  • Research and develop housing libraries for emergency and transitional shelters
  • Secure financial move-in assistance for clients
  • Collect and analyze program data for HUD annual progress reports
  • Maintain compliance with HUD regulations, Clinics' guidelines, and program requirements

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a mental health-related field or one year of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse clients and staff
  • Bilingual skills in the appropriate language for Clinics' clients
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and establish effective working relationships with coworkers, clients, and community agencies
