Job Summary:

The Senior Trademark Paralegal will be responsible for preparing and overseeing the filing, prosecution, and maintenance of intellectual property domestically and internationally. This includes preparing and filing WIPO applications and maintenance filings, conducting docket review and report preparation, and corresponding with clients, counsel, and outside counsel on prosecution and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file trademark applications and maintenance documents domestically and internationally
  • Conduct docket review and report preparation to ensure timely filing and prosecution of trademark applications
  • Correspond with clients, counsel, and outside counsel on prosecution and maintenance requirements
  • Provide administrative support for data entry, invoices, deposit accounts, practice alerts, and rule changes
  • Draft Office Action Responses and client correspondence
  • Review trademark specimens of use and conduct trademark in-use investigations
  • Perform legal research and notarization as needed
  • Coordinate legalization of documents used domestically and internationally
  • Prepare and file documents in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Proceedings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate
  • Minimum seven years of trademark experience
  • Prior law firm experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 suite of products
  • Familiarity with Clarivate or Corsearch products
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on providing quality client service
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
