Pharmacy Technician Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and processing patient medication orders, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process prescription information accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform data entry for new and refill orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance while attending to customer needs and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Prepare and maintain patient profiles and records, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
  • Follow regulations and maintain prescription logs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit claims for reimbursement, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Resolve issues with prescription orders, providing excellent customer service and resolving conflicts in a professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Registered and licensed Pharmacy Technician in Kentucky.
  • 1 year of pharmacy technician and customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
Preferred:
  • Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program.
  • National certification through PTCB or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures.
Pay Details:

$19.00 per hour.
