Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions in Louisville, KY. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in coordinating and processing patient medication orders, providing exceptional customer service, and performing various pharmacy duties under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process prescription information accurately and efficiently
  • Perform data entry for new and refill orders, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance while interacting with customers and handling sensitive information
  • Prepare and maintain patient profiles and records, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information
  • Follow regulations and maintain prescription logs, ensuring compliance with industry standards
  • Prepare and submit claims for reimbursement, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Resolve issues with prescription orders, providing excellent customer service and resolving conflicts
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Registered and licensed Pharmacy Technician in Kentucky
  • 1 year of pharmacy technician and customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
Preferred:
  • Completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program
  • National certification through PTCB or equivalent
  • Knowledge of insurance procedures
Pay Details:

$19.00 per hour
