Job Summary

At Odfjell USA Houston Inc, we are seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation engineering work in new and existing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering, prepare specifications, and design and check drawings of electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Issue RFQs, evaluate proposals, and manage the engineering, purchasing, and construction of electrical and instrumentation work.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain the electrical and instrumentation specifications.
  • Inspect, review, and administer work performed by electrical and instrument contractors for performance, quality, operability, and cost.
  • Review, audit, and provide feedback on the electrical and instrumentation contractors' safety practices.
  • Perform cost estimates and preliminary engineering for proposed projects.
  • Assist maintenance department technicians in their electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting, specifications, and design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, control systems, or related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of experience with industrial electrical and power systems, instrumentation, and automation systems.
  • Experience in specifying, installing, and calibrating instrumentation related to chemical terminals or chemical plant.
  • Knowledge of ISA Standards and NEC.
