Position Overview

The Quality Systems Manager is a key role within Gateway Recruiting, INC., reporting directly to the Plant Manager. This position is essential for overseeing and enhancing the existing quality management systems and fostering a robust quality culture within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance on strategies to reduce quality-related issues.
  • Create and implement necessary quality documentation.

  • Manage gage calibration, product testing, and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Engage in quality audits.
  • Exhibit strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, conflict resolution, and team-building capabilities in a collaborative environment.
  • Generate reports on product compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an associate degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have a background in manufacturing operations, assembly, and testing of suspension products.
  • Experience in an organizational culture that embraces Six Sigma, Toyota Production System, Kaizen, or other lean manufacturing practices. Familiarity with ISO or TS standards is highly advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts and extended hours as needed to meet production demands.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, including the application of statistical process control techniques in manufacturing (e.g., control charts, gage R&R studies).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using basic hand and measurement tools.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office, database management, and statistical software.
  • A proactive attitude combined with a high energy level.
