The Lead Fabricator position at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is a key role in our Covington, GA facility. We are seeking a motivated individual who wants to grow with our company. Key Responsibilities
- Punching door rails and stiles, as well as frame jambs and headers, may require flipping material around.
- Prepping parts, which may involve looking down and using hand tools for a full shift.
- Assembling doors, which may require looking down and using hand tools for a full shift.
- Welding doors.
- Lifting doors that weigh up to a certain amount.
- Operating equipment for a full shift, including saws, mills, and other machinery.
- Packing doors and frames, which requires lifting, twisting, turning, and other physical activities.
- Stocking the hardware room, which may involve lifting boxes that weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Pulling metal, which may involve handling steel bars or channels.
- Working overtime and Saturdays as needed, depending on production requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, and understand English to communicate with colleagues and read paperwork and labels.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure effectively.

- Ability to use machinery and hand tools to fabricate products.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted or up to 150 pounds in a team lift.
- Ability to work safely in a production environment.
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments in a warehouse-type setting.
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours or more while wearing approved steel-toed boots.
- Ability to twist, turn, squat, climb, lift, push, and pull throughout the shift.
