Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Engineer II plays a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and directing all facets of the Quality department.

This position is tasked with implementing and utilizing AS 9100, ISO, NADCAP, and compliant Quality Management Systems to ensure our products meet the specified dimensions, specifications, quality, and other requirements set forth by our clients.

The role is also focused on driving continuous improvement based on customer feedback, management insights, manufacturing processes, and supply chain dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and establish quality assurance testing models to evaluate raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods.
  • Assist in formulating quality control policies and assess production limitations.
  • Implement New Product Introduction (NPI), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), and develop work instructions for Quality Control inspections.
  • Possess experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA).
  • Submit Engineering Change Requests and lead Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and typically involves 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.

This role collaborates with customers, program managers, and engineering teams to devise techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing products to fulfill customer expectations.

Additionally, the Quality Assurance Engineer II is responsible for developing and executing inspection, testing, and calibration operations while supporting customer, regulatory, and compliance audits.

They will oversee the analysis of material or product defects, production processes, and customer specifications to recommend or implement modifications in products and/or quality standards as necessary.

Furthermore, this position manages product deviation requests and other customer quality notifications, supporting and continuously enhancing the Quality Management System.

Collaboration with engineering is essential to manage the document control process effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and RCCA.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to comprehend and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proven track record in managing a manufacturing quality system with measurable outcomes.
  • Understanding of advanced manufacturing and quality principles.
