Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our imaging department.
Job Summary:Under the direction of a Radiologist and Supervisor, you will perform ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply ultrasound for sonographic diagnosis. Your scope of care will include age groups ranging from newborn to elderly.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate all sonographic equipment according to equipment specifications.
- Produce quality sonograms consistently within ACR department protocols.
- Follow good radiation safety practices when applicable (i.e. ALARA) according to state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain patient records according to department standards.
- Demonstrate the ability to rotate and provide services at all facilities.
- Properly assess patients according to exam ordered with appropriate documentation.
- Provide patient education pertinent to exam being performed and document in patient EMR.
- Compliance in accurately and completely utilizing RIS according to department standards.
- Licensure or other certifications: Applicant must have passed ARDMS Physics exam for registry.
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of accredited ARDMS Program.

- Preferred Experience: Minimum of one (1) year.
