Radiologic Imaging Specialist

As a Radiologic Technologist at Ballad Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care by administering roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients. You will operate X-Ray Equipment, prepare patient rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications, and provide patient services using imaging modalities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer roentgen rays and radioactive substances to patients, following prescribed techniques and protocols.
• Operate X-Ray Equipment, ensuring proper voltage, current, and exposure time distance, and arrange immobilization and support devices to obtain patient positions.
• Select proper film and adjust lead shields as needed.
• Operate mobile x-ray equipment when requested, providing care to patients of all ages, from neonate to geriatric.
• Interact with radiology management systems and participate in clerical activities to ensure smooth workflow and provide documentation for patient charges.
Requirements:
• Associate of Science degree in Radiology Technology or a graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program recognized by The American College of Radiology.
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
• Experience beyond technology training is not required, but two years of experience is preferred.
Work Requirements:
• Rotating shifts, with no on-call requirements.
• No travel required.
• Located at Norton Community Hospital.
