Rope Access Technician

We are seeking experienced Rope Access Technicians to join our team at IRISNDT Inc. for a four-month project in the Baytown, TX area. The successful candidate will work on a 4/10 schedule with opportunities for overtime. Must have experience shooting profiles. Local applicants only - No Per Diem paid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out standard rope access operations under the direct supervision of an authorized Level III rope access supervisor.
- Use Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment to access and complete a wide variety of inspection, maintenance, and other industrial work tasks while on ropes or in difficult access areas.
- Perform work that is physically demanding, have good communication skills, and the ability to assimilate a large amount of new information.
- Rescue operations, technical reports, and administrative tasks may also be included.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- SPRAT or IRATA Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification.
- Valid TWIC Card required.
- Radiation Safety Training.
- NDT Certifications in MT, PT, UTT, & Digital Profile RT preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and pre-access drug & alcohol testing required.
- Pre-employment background checks will be required.
Work Conditions:
- Field duties require outdoor work in diverse industrial environments with varying weather conditions.
- Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.
- Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
- Tasks may also include physically moving and setting up inspection equipment (maximum component weight +/- 50 lbs.).
- Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time.
