Key Responsibilities

Pediatric Registered Nurses deliver direct patient care to a diverse age group, from infants to adolescents. This role encompasses care for patients with various medical needs, including surgical and oncology cases, as well as those requiring sedation for procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is maintained at 1-3, based on patient acuity. The Pediatric RN will report to the Pediatric Charge Nurse and is responsible for organizing care delivery through effective prioritization, delegation, and communication with healthcare providers and support staff.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN license in the state of Idaho.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • PALS certification to be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • ONS certification to be acquired within the first year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of one year of experience in acute care settings is preferred.
