Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of dance productions, including lighting, sound, and stage management. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directs all technical activities for dance concerts, including lighting and sound design.
  • Supervises student assistants, graduate assistants, and temporary employees.
  • Performs maintenance on Dance Studio Theatre equipment and ensures that all technical rehearsals are well-planned and executed.
  • Consults with faculty to design lighting, scenery, and digital media for dance concerts.
  • Coordinates technical needs of faculty and dance students, including scheduling and supervising technical rehearsals.
  • Develops and implements policies for use of Dance Studio Theatre and ensures that all technical activities are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in related field required; three years' experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of technical theatre lighting equipment and digital media applications to dance.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate complex dance productions operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
