It is essential to verify that all necessary equipment is accounted for at the start and conclusion of each shift.

Corewell Health encompasses a comprehensive health system that includes multiple hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation facilities, long-term care residences, home care, hospice services, and numerous affiliated physician practice locations. We deliver both inpatient and outpatient medical services across Southwest Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
The Surgical Technologist is accountable for the preparation of the surgical environment, the intraoperative management of instruments, the maintenance of a sterile field, and the assessment of evolving conditions during surgical procedures, responding appropriately as necessary. This position requires a thorough understanding of surgical techniques and principles pertinent to those procedures. The Surgical Technologist may also take on the role of a preceptor.

Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from an Accredited Surgical Technology Program. Note that not all programs confer an Associate's degree.
- Preferred experience as a Surgical Technologist (clinical rotations are considered valid experience).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, required within 90 days.
Work Environment
This position is full-time, with a day shift schedule. Weekly hours total 40, with workdays primarily on weekdays and variable weekend shifts as needed.
