Job Summary:

The Financial Systems Analyst II will have a solid understanding of system applications and general business process knowledge related to the applications, as well as experience with the software implementation life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial system and data support based on the alignment of business processes within the financial system platform.
  • Assist the business with performing queries and defining report requirements in an efficient way for analysis and distribution to practice managers.
  • Effectively communicate with business users/owners and proactively contribute ideas and proposed solutions to the business and financial system team members.
  • Accurately update system inquiries from the business and internal team members in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develop solutions for financial system data analysis to manage the business or support resolution of end-user inquiries, including proper data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and communication.
  • Perform functional research or data mining from multiple internal and external financial system sources.
  • Assist workstream business owners in the development of test scripts, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform basic financial system configurations to meet business requirements as defined by the business or for maintenance.
  • Identify and interpret trends and patterns in support issues, financial data, and proactively recommend actions and solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to identify business risks and create analytics and dashboards to improve business processes.
  • Execute financial system activities as defined in the project plan and milestone assignments. Proactively participate in the planning phase when required.
  • Collaborate and strategize with IT, financial system, and business teams to drive system efficiencies across the business.
  • Demonstrate understanding of business process workflows and how financial applications are used in support of those processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve or gain efficiencies within the financial systems or business processes, including creating and maintaining reporting tools and templates to facilitate the production of financial reports and dashboards.
  • Contribute to the definition, planning, coordination, and execution of financial system updates and growth of knowledge of end-users.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, required; or High School Diploma or GED and seven or more years of experience working with financial systems, required.
  • Three or more years of experience working with financial systems required with a degree, required.
  • Prior experience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory, and/or banking industries, preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required.
  • Proficient in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, such as Oracle ERP Cloud, PeopleSoft Financials, JD Edwards, preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Business Intelligence Reporting Tools, such as OneStream, Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, preferred.

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
