We are seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team at the State of Utah. As an Optometrist, you will provide comprehensive eye care services to inmates in a correctional facility, including examination, diagnosis, and treatment of visual disorders and diseases.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough eye examinations using specialized equipment and interpret diagnostic test results.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as needed.
- Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
- Active license to practice optometry in the State of Utah.
- Basic life support certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
