Invasive Specialist

Orlando Health is seeking a skilled Invasive Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and related tasks to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention for cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality patient care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures and protocols.
- Assess patient physical condition and age-specific needs, ensuring patient education on procedure performed, needs, safety, and comfort.
- Acquire patient clinical history and accurately document information, verifying files and records for completeness and accuracy.
- Position patients, equipment, and associated devices to achieve high-quality images for interpretation.
- Assess processed image media for technical quality, patient identification, and relative anatomy demonstration.
- Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
- Provide physiological and hemodynamic monitoring during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Support physicians as scrub assistants for cardiovascular procedures.
- Maintain aseptic technique and appraise and evaluate actual and potential hemostasis of a vessel post-procedure.
- Locate, use, and troubleshoot complex technical equipment/instruments, acting as a resource for its operation and training.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies, equipment, resources, tools, and forms.
- A graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technicians, Respiratory Therapy, or Radiologic Technology.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification, with PALS certification may be required depending on unit-specific needs.
- Valid Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification upon hire at Arnold Palmer Hospital, with 12 CEUs per year or 36 every three years.
- Valid Florida state license renewed every two years required, with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification renewed yearly.
