Job Title: Oncology Clinical Research Nurse

At US Oncology, we are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Clinical Research Nurse to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in oncology nursing and experience in clinical research.

Job Summary:

The Oncology Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients with cancer, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. This includes assessing health status, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, as well as participating in company-wide quality initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
  • Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient's chart.
  • Facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in locating available community resources.
  • Inter professional collaboration.
  • Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
