Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead our solar energy projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, direct, and execute all day-to-day project activities according to set timelines and budget milestones.
  • Support the proposal teams in the development of accurate bids, ensuring reliable cost build-up and legitimate execution plans that meet the proposed schedule.
  • Provide leadership for weekly meetings with the project team throughout the design, procurement, and construction phases of the project.
  • Organize and provide managerial leadership for projects, ensuring effective project controls and scheduling.
  • Participate in negotiations on contract changes for projects and manage project superintendents.
  • Work with the safety team to develop risk assessments and HASPs, identify and implement best practices, and give jobsite safety briefings and toolbox talks throughout the project.
  • Ensure quality programs are effectively implemented for the project, complete post-project critiques, and identify lessons learned.
  • Work with the project controls and scheduling teams to track and forecast project progress, costs, and forecast, and provide update reports to management and customers.
  • Write Purchase Authorization Requests, manage cash flow, and achieve expected cash position.
  • Develop business cases for project procurement strategies, interpret contract and project requirements to develop project controls plans, and lead in the development of project work breakdown structures.
  • Conduct periodic status updates and strategy meetings, interface with various departments/entities to obtain timely inputs, and prepare, analyze, condense, and present for diverse audiences.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree or technical degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • 10 years' field experience in construction management, project management, or other related industry experience.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience in utility-scale solar project management preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
  • Have a thorough understanding of contract risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Obtain expert knowledge and understanding of Corporate Terms and Conditions.
  • Hold advanced knowledge of Project Controls tools and processes and earned value management methodology.
  • Hold a thorough understanding of managed technology.
  • Have a knowledge of all business unit core products.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of B&W network, operating principles, procedures, and policies.
  • Strong focus on safety.
