Job Title: Technical Trainer

The OCONUS Trainer/Field Technician will work onsite in CONUS and then deploy overseas to support an ongoing government contract. This position requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in aerostat systems and military-grade aircraft/drones.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate course content adhering to industry best practices for training.
  • Utilize technical documentation, including technical manuals, to support lecture content.
  • Conduct classes containing both lecture, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair aerostat structures, hydraulic systems, fiber optic components, avionics and electrical components, and ground systems.
  • Serve as a Flight Crew Member conducting pre/post flight, launch/recovery, helium toppings, snubbing, inflations/deflations, tether inspections, etc.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all emergency procedures for both moored and airborne flight aerostat operations.
  • Ability to work on multiple systems and projects.
  • Travel to CONUS and deploy OCONUS for extended periods of time.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of formal technical training (via military or civilian technical schools) is required.
  • Ten years of hands-on experience in performing functional tasks either on an aerostat system or a related industry/military equivalent.
  • Five years' experience satisfies the requirement for formal classroom training.
  • Active U.S. Passport and Secret Clearance required.

This position is based out of Elizabeth City, NC with extensive travel OCONUS. The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
