Global Engineering and Technology (GET) is actively seeking skilled candidates for the position of Cybersecurity Solutions Architect to enhance our team as part of a cybersecurity initiative supporting the United States Department of Energy (DOE).

This role is highly compensated and carries significant responsibilities, providing essential technical guidance that is crucial to the success of our mission. This is a full-time position as a GET employee, complete with paid leave and comprehensive benefits.


The Cybersecurity Solutions Architect is tasked with developing engineering artifacts, including architectures, functional decomposition positions, and detailed design review documentation.

This individual will design enterprise and systems security throughout the development lifecycle, translating technological and environmental factors (such as laws and regulations) into effective security designs and processes.

Requirements

Security Clearance:
This position requires a current DOE Q or DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Essential skills (demonstrated through technical expertise and certifications, where applicable):

Document and address information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

Ensure that acquired or developed systems and architectures align with the organization's cybersecurity architecture guidelines.

Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities in security architecture, and formulate a security risk management strategy.


Define and document the impact of new systems or interfaces on the security posture of the existing environment.


Evaluate security architectures and designs to assess the adequacy of security measures proposed in response to acquisition requirements.

Determine the security controls for information systems and networks, documenting them appropriately.

Develop Enterprise Information Technology (IT) requirements that outline baseline and target systems involving cybersecurity and privacy principles.


Proficient in managing, testing, and implementing current security architectures for operating systems, networks, cybersecurity analysis tools, and related IT systems.


Engaged in various cybersecurity domains, including system architectures, firewalls, inspection and analysis tools, encryption components, and networking architectures.

Involved in security reporting and analysis to regulatory bodies.


Identify systemic security challenges based on vulnerability and configuration data analysis; apply secure system design methodologies and techniques.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and identify weaknesses in security systems.

Apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to meet organizational requirements (pertaining to confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation).

Required qualifications and experience (demonstrated through technical expertise and certifications, where applicable):

10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including a minimum of 5 years in hands-on security architecture development (relevant advanced degrees may be considered partially in lieu of direct experience).


Proven capability in developing engineering artifacts, including architectures, functional decomposition positions, and supporting preliminary and detailed design review documentation.
