MRI Technologist

The MRI Technologist at Christus Health is responsible for performing complex diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized MRI diagnostic imaging equipment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including MRI exams and procedures, utilizing pressurized injection equipment.
Assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy-type procedures using MRI equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
Program the computer to ensure completion of exams and store scan data correctly on PACS for future reference.
Coordinate and prioritize procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.
Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent required.
1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is highly preferred.
Current state licensure and BLS certification required.
Work Environment:
Varies, with a focus on providing high-quality patient care and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
