Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Specialist to join our team at Koorsen Fire & Security Inc. as a Fire Alarm Installation Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire alarm system installation and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Testing: Install fire alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality, and test systems to ensure they meet industry standards.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their needs and ensure they are satisfied with the installed systems.
  • Collaboration: Work with vendors and co-workers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in fire alarm system installation.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications, and experience with electronic testing devices.
  • Certifications: Ability to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry Experience: Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security experience.
  • Certifications: Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and basic understanding of IT functionality.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting and Carrying: Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools, and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Standing and Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, and climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.
