Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plate all food items according to recipes and standards.
  • Inspect all incoming and outgoing food visually.
  • Identify and prepare all menu items.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in weighing and measuring ingredients.
  • Cook food using various methods such as frying, sautéing, baking, and boiling.
  • Set up, clean, and dismantle kitchen stations.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is operational and sanitary.
  • Follow health codes and sanitation regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Properly store, label, and date all food items as per health code guidelines.
  • Operate kitchen equipment and understand correct cleaning procedures.
  • Assist with daily kitchen tasks.
  • Adhere to uniform guidelines while on duty.

Additional Duties:

  • Prepare, cook, and expedite various food orders, including a la carte and banquet meals.
  • Report any food shortages or equipment issues promptly.
  • Be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold work standards.
  • Interact with colleagues in a respectful manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, emergency, and sanitation protocols; report violations as necessary.
  • Assist with dishwashing and cleaning tasks as requested by supervisors.
  • Handle incoming deliveries, following correct food storage guidelines and FIFO principles.
  • Support Kitchen Managers, Assistant Kitchen Managers, and Lead Line Cooks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong work ethic.
  • Desire for continuous learning and development.
  • Encouraged to hold food safety certifications.
