Music Teacher Opportunity at Bach to Rock

Bach to Rock, a leading music school for students of all ages, is seeking a part-time music teacher to provide private and group lessons to students. As a music teacher at Bach to Rock, you will use our proprietary curriculum to deliver engaging and well-rounded music education to students of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach private and group lessons using Bach to Rock's curriculum and cover song arrangements
  • Utilize our proprietary programming on school iPads to record lesson observations, assignments, and repertoire
  • Create a fun and focused lesson atmosphere that encourages students to learn and grow
  • Assess students' readiness to join a band or ensemble
  • Assist at school events and local off-premises sites
  • May repair equipment as needed and able
Requirements:
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate them effectively to students
  • Must have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to primary instrument
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
  • Experienced performer (either solo or group)
  • Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians
  • Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
  • Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to teach multiple instruments, small ensembles, or writing/arranging

Bach to Rock offers a flexible part-time schedule, a fun environment, and the opportunity to work with like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business aspects of the lessons and group classes, allowing you to focus on teaching. The hourly rate is $16-$23, based on expertise, experience, education, and availability.
