Music Instructor

Bach to Rock, a leading music school for students of all ages, is seeking experienced Music Instructors to join our team as part-time employees. As a Music Instructor at Bach to Rock, you will be responsible for providing music and performance lessons to students, utilizing our proprietary curriculum and teaching methods.

• Teach private and semi-private lessons to students of all ages, using our curriculum and cover song arrangements.
• Utilize our proprietary programming on school iPads to record lesson observations, assignments, repertoire, and other notes.
• Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere that fosters student growth and development.
• Assess students' readiness to join a band or ensemble and provide guidance on their musical progress.
• Assist at school events, both on and off premises, and may be required to repair equipment as needed.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate them effectively to students.
• Have an advanced understanding of music theory and technique relevant to your primary instrument.
• Effective time management and organizational skills to keep students on task in a lesson.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities.
• Have experience as a performer, either solo or in a group.
• Have experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians.
• Be able to interact effectively with children and adults.
• Pass a background check.

• Ability to teach multiple instruments, small ensembles, or writing/arranging.
• Experience in music therapy or early childhood music education.

Bach to Rock offers a flexible part-time schedule, a fun and supportive work environment, and the opportunity to work with like-minded musicians. We handle the marketing, scheduling, booking, billing, and other business aspects of the lessons and group classes, allowing you to focus on teaching. Our hourly rate is $16-$23, based on expertise, experience, education, and availability.
