Job Summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and converter dollies, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs to manufacturer specifications, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including control systems and electrical motors.
  • Document all work performed on work orders and maintain accurate records.
  • Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco's computer programs.
Qualifications
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Current and valid driver's license.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl.
Work Environment
  • Occasionally exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold, and/or humid conditions.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces.
  • May be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate.
