Overview:

The Project Configuration Manager plays a crucial role in managing project schedules, deliverables, and configuration oversight to ensure the effective integration and administration of all project elements. This position serves as the primary point of contact for technical matters, providing essential contractor support and ensuring that all operational facets align with client goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:
  • Manage and supervise project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to facilitate timely project execution.
  • Collaborate with research divisions and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are in sync with organizational missions.
  • Conduct regular project assessments and status reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
Configuration Oversight:
  • Lead configuration management efforts, including the setup, configuration, maintenance, and retirement of IT assets.
  • Formulate and execute configuration management strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to configuration management standards and protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and configuration oversight.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, configuration management, and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in a scientific or laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and DevOps methodologies.
  • Outstanding communication and coordination skills, with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address project and configuration management challenges.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience in a research or scientific context is advantageous.
