About the Opportunity:

This position is for a Senior Principal Systems Engineer - Linux who will help advance the mission by integrating Linux technologies into a primary Windows infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with Linux resources, extensive knowledge of Windows infrastructure, and a strong understanding of enterprise authorization and provisioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Linux systems into a primary Windows environment with authentication, authorization, and accounting active.
  • Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensure initial configurations meet enterprise baselines and controls.
  • Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling such as ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, and Backup systems.
  • Ensure patches are maintained across a diverse Linux environment in a heavily automated manner.
  • Develop an operating system lifecycle plan with integration of DoD STIGs and other recommended security standards.
  • Monitor all integrated solutions via a centralized alerting system.
  • Certify log management and forwarding to a single repository.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technology field.
  • Minimum 17 years of relevant experience supporting complex projects.
  • VMWare management/administration experience.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu, or a derivative.
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and a T5 or T5R within the last 5 years.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work alone and perform heavy research and development when necessary.
