JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Overview:
- The Claims Advocate plays a vital role in managing risks associated with workers' compensation claims, requiring outstanding business acumen and customer service expertise, along with substantial experience in claims management.
- This position entails overseeing the claims advocacy program, ensuring each claim is initiated correctly, assisting injured employees throughout the claims journey, and coordinating with clients and internal teams.
Reporting Structure:
- This role reports directly to the Corporate Claims Manager and collaborates closely with the Corporate Claims team and branch staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Concentrating on reducing financial exposure related to workers' compensation claims.
- Comprehending and articulating BBSI's business objectives to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing written notifications to injured workers upon the receipt of new claims.
- Serving as a resource for inquiries from various stakeholders and acting as a support to Claim Consultants.
Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated business insight and exceptional customer service capabilities.
- Ability to adapt, show flexibility, and possess a natural curiosity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates will have a college degree, 2-5 years of relevant claims experience, proficiency in Spanish or familiarity with translation services, and a background in Workers' Compensation.
Compensation:
- The initial annual salary for this role ranges from $77,000 to $85,000, influenced by factors such as location, skills, education, and experience.
- Additionally, there is potential for annual incentive compensation equivalent to 8% of regular pay.
