Role Overview

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Sentara, you can develop a rewarding career in a variety of specialties, including hospital, home health, hospice, or our medical group.

The primary duties of this position include triaging, verifying medical information, and caring for patients' overall health, as well as working closely with doctors and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Triage and manage patient caseloads
  2. Verify medical information and maintain accurate records
  3. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

Education and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or associate degree in nursing from an accredited program
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in North Carolina or Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
