Nursing Faculty Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Nursing Faculty Instructor to join our team at Virginia Peninsula Community College. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse with teaching experience to share their knowledge and skills with students.

This part-time position involves teaching up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester, and up to 8 credit hours during the summer semester. The teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering instruction for day and evening classes, assessing student performance, maintaining adequate on-campus presence, and providing timely communication with students, staff, and administrators.

The ideal candidate will have a current unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse in Virginia or higher medical license, a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution, and current CPR certification and documentation of all routine healthcare employee immunizations.

The estimated salary for this position is between $60,000 to $80,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
