Job Description

As an Associate Compliance & Licensing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in completing licensing tasks for our sub-producer network, associates, and entities. This involves tracking licenses, appointments, and continuing education requirements. You will also communicate with Departments of Insurance to resolve questions or issues related to associate or entity licensing needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Licensing Tasks: Complete licensing tasks for sub-producers, associates, and entities, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain GIG's sub-producer database(s) and licensing files as assigned.
  • Continuing Education: Track licenses, appointments, and continuing education requirements for associates and entities.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Develop an understanding of state license processing related to Departments of Insurance.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with Departments of Insurance to resolve questions or issues related to associate or entity licensing needs.
  • Quarterly Reports: Generate and review quarterly reports to determine pending license renewals of GIG associates and entities.
  • Specialty Entity Licenses: Complete and submit specialty entity license renewal applications and coordinate submissions with carriers as needed.
  • Onboarding: Responsible for on-boarding sub-producers within assigned territory, reviewing acquisition documents, and updating broker network databases.
  • Licensing Assistance: Process assigned associate licensing by informing associates of processes and needs, assisting with proper forms, providing instruction on fingerprinting, gathering supporting documents, and forwarding to appropriate departments.
  • Adjuster Licensing: Facilitate and track adjuster licensing and register adjusters for tests.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma: Minimum educational requirement.
  • SILA Associate Designation: Must have SILA Associate designation in place within an approved timeframe.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of two years (2) working in an office environment required.
  • Insurance Industry Experience: Experience in the insurance industry would be advantageous.
  • NIPR or Database Systems Experience: Familiarity with NIPR or broker onboarding & database systems would be beneficial.
  • Insurance Designations: Holding CISR, ARC, or AINS earned insurance designations would be desirable.

Estimated Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per annum based on experience and location.
