About the Opportunity

Are you a skilled data scientist looking to leverage your expertise in machine learning and neural networks to drive innovative solutions in maintenance management? KBR is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team supporting NAVAIR's Precision Strike Weapons Program Office (PMA-201). This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to critical projects that advance military capabilities and enhance mission success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement algorithms to analyze and process maintenance work order data related to precision strike weapon systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within KBR and PMA-201 to define data requirements and support various program areas.
  • Translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Utilize machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing techniques to enhance data processing and decision-making capabilities.
  • Conduct data validation and ensure the integrity and accuracy of analytical outputs.
Requirements
  • Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with an Active/Current DoD Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics).
  • Experience: 2 years of experience as a data scientist with a proven track record in machine learning, neural networks, and natural language processing.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders.
Benefits and Work Environment

KBR offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, AD&D, flexible spending account, disability, paid time off, and flexible work schedule. Our hybrid work model allows for remote work while requiring occasional in-office collaboration in Jacksonville, FL.
