Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of programs to achieve food service excellence within the Food Transportation Team at Trinity Health. The incumbent will be accountable for communicating instructions, directing other employees, ensuring appropriate delivery times, and making recommendations to the Director for improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement programs to achieve food service excellence within the Food Transportation Team.
  • Communication and Direction: Communicate instructions and direct other employees to ensure the successful execution of food service operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor tray line, temperatures, and food quality for all food being transported to ensure the highest standards of quality.
  • Performance Improvement: Record and post patient meal satisfaction results and make recommendations to the Director for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Create positive work team relationships that provide the highest quality of nutritional service to patients.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrate an understanding of all patient populations served and meet standards of quality as measured by the department age-specific competency standards.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Certified Dietary Manager is preferred, and a Driver's License is required.
  • Educational Requirements: Post-high school education is preferable, and the ability to read and write accurately and legibly is required.
  • Experience Requirements: Coaching/management experience is required, and preferred two years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Special Skills or Training Requirements: Maintain a high standard of professionalism and respect for confidentiality of patient data, maintain a professional image and attitude, and demonstrate strong organizational/time management skills.
