We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Hydraquip Electric Systems. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a key role in assisting with the growth of our business unit by working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions for electric drivetrain and generation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their system needs for electric and hybrid electric drivetrain systems, new control systems, and hydraulic and power generation systems.
  • Technical Consultation: Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers, in cooperation with the engineering team, to design, install, and implement new fully electric and electrohydraulic systems.
  • Order entry, project management, and order tracking in P21 ERP system.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on the latest electric systems, products, and industry trends to effectively promote, design, and implement new system solutions.
  • Quotation and Proposal Preparation: Prepare accurate and competitive quotations and proposals in response to customer inquiries.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and contracts with clients, ensuring win-win solutions, and close sales deals.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth.

Requirements:

  • BSEE, BSME, BAEET (ABET accredited university), or equivalent technical degree with equivalent experience.
  • PLUS+1 Certified or PLC training from any of the widely used PLC manufacturers (Siemens, Allen Bradley, IDEC) is strongly desired.
  • Fluid power experience and fluid power specialist certification are a plus.
