Chief of Infectious Disease Opportunity

MEDICORP, INC is seeking an accomplished leader to serve as the inaugural Chief of Infectious Disease. This individual will report directly to the Chair of Internal Medicine and will be responsible for developing a nationally recognized division of infectious disease and integrating the diverse clinical and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the division, including the expansion of clinical and research programs and the recruitment of additional faculty.
  • Lead the development of a nationally recognized division of infectious disease, with a focus on academic excellence and clinical innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Chair of Internal Medicine and other department leaders to ensure alignment with the department's strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the division's faculty and staff, including the development of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the division's compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or foreign equivalent.
  • Board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Disease.
  • A successful track record and national reputation as an academic leader in infectious disease, as demonstrated by scholarly achievement and a current rank of Professor or Associate Professor.
  • A commitment to developing the division through the expansion of clinical and research programs and the recruitment of additional faculty.
  • A commitment to the education and training of medical students, graduate students, and residents.
  • A commitment to support efforts to promote a climate of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the Division of Infectious Disease.
