Machinist - Weldment Fabrication Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Lincoln Electric. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and machining weldments, tubes, blocks, and pins of all sizes in a timely manner using 2-D drawings and programming an ACU-RITE controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate manual mills to machine components per print efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete any necessary inspection worksheets to ensure high-quality products.
  • Maintain little to no re-work or scrap by adhering to quality control standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and equipment.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform job-related duties as assigned per priority to meet production deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience setting up and operating manual mills is preferred.
  • Basic PC navigation skills to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • High attention to detail and quality to ensure accurate machining and assembly.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand basic GD&T call-outs.
  • Ability to accurately use standard machinist measuring tools to inspect and measure components.
  • Ability to set up and run "one-off" parts to print efficiently and accurately.
  • Must work well under pressure to meet production deadlines and maintain quality standards.
  • Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to adhere to OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Be aware of and follow company EH&S procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard or equipment not operating correctly.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing duties of job, employee is typically required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; squat; climb; see, talk and hear. Be able to climb ladders; lift hand tools up to 40 lbs. consistently, and parts up to 50 lbs. consistently. Repetition with activity.
