Salary: Competitive compensation with a SIGN ON BONUS.
Essential Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills in person, via telephone, and in writing.
- Current RN licensure is mandatory.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in healthcare and supervisory roles.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Follow directives from the Director regarding policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with shift standards, duties, and responsibilities.
- Ensure safety protocols, universal precautions, and infection control measures are followed.
- Promote a friendly, calm, and cooperative atmosphere.
- Maintain RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
- Complete fit testing for N95 masks unless otherwise evaluated.
- Report directly to the Director of Nursing.
- Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds as required.
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance.
Care Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure high-quality resident care and appropriate medical interventions.
- Supervise overall resident care, ensuring compliance with directives and orders.
- Coordinate 24-hour nursing care with proper delegation to nursing staff.
- Ensure adherence to nursing and facility policies and procedures.
- Facilitate effective communication and reporting between shifts.
- Assess and recommend changes in resident care as necessary.
- Develop and implement educational plans for residents and families.
Clinical Duties:
- Evaluate residents' health care status and provide direct care as needed.
- Initiate and update care plans, implementing necessary changes.
- Conduct interdisciplinary team conferences for formal reviews of care plans.
- Manage admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents.
- Ensure accurate documentation and communication of resident information.
- Oversee the Restorative Nursing program and maintain accurate rehabilitation records.
- Perform necessary lab tests and procedures as ordered.
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Coordinate unit meetings and in-service training sessions.
- Complete documentation for reports, studies, and incidents as required.
- Evaluate emergencies and incidents, providing appropriate interventions.
- Delegate tasks effectively among nursing aides and ensure adherence to job descriptions.
- Participate in policy development and ensure implementation of updates.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights.
Work Environment:
- Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Attend and conduct required in-services and meetings.
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
