Minimum Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills in person, via phone, and in writing.
- Possession of a valid RN license.
- At least one year of experience in the healthcare sector, preferably in a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all policies and procedures established by the facility and your supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, universal precautions, and infection control protocols.
- Maintain a friendly, calm, and cooperative demeanor while ensuring resident safety.
- Regularly assess resident health care status and provide direct care as needed.
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure quality care is delivered as per directives.
- Coordinate 24-hour nursing care and delegate tasks appropriately among nursing staff.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure adherence to policies and standards.
- Document all resident care accurately and timely, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to review and update resident care plans.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new nursing personnel.
Additional Duties:
- Complete performance evaluations for nursing staff and recommend commendations or disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Engage in policy development and ensure implementation of updated procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, reporting any equipment issues promptly.
- Participate in required in-service training and meetings.
This position reports directly to the Director of Nursing and plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of resident care are met.
